Vivo V30 Lite 4G Review: Worth Considering for Under ₹35,000?
Recently, I reviewed the Vivo V30 5G, and it impressed with solid specs for a ₹60,999 price tag, boasting features like a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 and a dual 50MP camera setup. Today, I’m switching gears to its sibling, the Vivo V30 Lite 4G. As suggested by its name, this model dials back a bit, featuring a Snapdragon 685 4G SoC and a basic dual-camera system (50MP primary and 2MP depth sensor).
Priced at ₹33,999 for the 8GB/256GB model, the question arises: does the Vivo V30 Lite 4G justify its cost like its more powerful sibling? Let’s dive into the details.
Specifications at a Glance: Vivo V30 Lite 4G Review
- Design: Glass front, plastic back, plastic frame; IP54 rating
- Display: 6.67-inch FHD+ E4 AMOLED, 120Hz, 394ppi, up to 1,800 nits brightness
- Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 (6nm)
- RAM/Storage: 8GB RAM (extendable), 256GB UFS 2.2 storage

- Cameras: Rear – 50MP primary, 2MP depth; Front – 8MP
- Battery: 5,000 mAh with 80W fast charging

Design and Display:
The V30 Lite 4G sports a sleek design with a standout camera bump featuring a stylish gold accent. Although the plastic used doesn’t look cheap, the device misses the color-changing option available in the Crystal Green variant, which would have added an extra flair. The 6.67-inch AMOLED display, with its 120Hz refresh rate, offers vibrant visuals perfect for media consumption, although the stereo speakers deliver only average sound quality.
Performance: Vivo V30 Lite 4G Review
Powered by the Snapdragon 685, the performance is adequate but not groundbreaking. Given its price, Vivo could have opted for a more powerful chipset like the Helio G99, especially as the phone’s Funtouch OS could benefit from a bit more muscle to smooth out occasional lags. Gaming is manageable but don’t expect high-frame-rate support in more demanding games like PUBG Mobile.
Camera Quality:
The dual-camera setup on the back performs decently under good lighting conditions, producing relatively natural colors compared to the more vibrant outputs from competitors like the Samsung Galaxy A15. However, in low light and video recording, the phone struggles to keep up, with noticeable deficiencies in color accuracy and stabilization.
Battery and Charging:
The 5,000mAh battery comfortably lasts through a day, bolstered by an impressive 80W fast charging capability, which is a standout feature in this price segment. Vivo also claims great battery health retention over time.

Final Thoughts about Vivo V30 Lite 4G Review
The Vivo V30 Lite 4G lands in a tricky spot. While it offers a pleasing design, excellent display, and super-fast charging, its performance and camera capabilities don’t stir much excitement, especially when compared to some competitors in the same price range. If Vivo had priced this model a little lower or upgraded some key specs, it could have been a more compelling choice.
Given its features, the Vivo V30 Lite 4G is a mixed bag. It might appeal to brand loyalists or those captivated by its design and fast charging, but for others, better value can likely be found elsewhere.
Pros:
- Attractive design
- Crisp AMOLED display
- Rapid charging
Cons:
- Just average performance
- Cameras could be better
- High-quality video recording is lacking
Overall, the Vivo V30 Lite 4G is a decent phone that could have shined brighter with a few tweaks. As it stands, it’s worth considering if you value aesthetics and charging speed over top-tier performance and camera quality.
